Resto Bar Taraca is located just outside Kotor’s North Gate, alongside the Škurda River — a two-minute walk from the Old Town. Our position gives you easy access to everything Kotor has to offer while stepping away from the most congested parts of the city.

The outdoor terrace sits directly beside the river, with a direct view up toward the San Giovanni Fortress. As evening falls and the fortress walls illuminate, the setting takes on a quality that guests come back to again and again. It is one of the more genuinely scenic spots in Kotor for a meal at any time of day.

We are open daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner year-round.

Taraca serves food from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM — which means whatever time of day you’re hungry, we’re here. Each part of the day has its own character at our restaurant:

• Breakfast (8am–noon): unhurried mornings by the river. A menu that goes well beyond the standard — Buckwheat Pie, Vegan Shakshuka, Traditional Montenegrin Breakfast, and house-made pastries alongside good coffee and freshly squeezed juices.
• Lunch (noon–3pm): a relaxed midday meal with shade on the terrace, space between tables, and a menu that balances lighter options with more substantial mains. The vegan and vegetarian dishes at lunch are consistently popular.
• Dinner (from 7pm): the terrace comes alive in the evening. The fortress walls above begin to glow as the light fades, the river reflects the last of the daylight, and the menu moves into richer territory — Beefsteak with Truffle, Curry Chicken, and desserts worth saving room for.
